Reviews and Ratings
During my stay, I had mixed feelings about the hotel. The dining experience at the Peking duck restaurant on the third floor was fantastic, with excellent food at reasonable prices. However, I encountered an uncomfortable situation in the lobby where I was approached by individuals offering illegal services, which made me feel uneasy. Overall, while the restaurant exceeded my expectations, the hotel experience was marred by these incidents.
The hotel is well-located, just a short walk from the Century Avenue Metro station, making it a convenient spot for exploring Shanghai. I had a fantastic room on the 41st floor with an incredible view, and the service was attentive and helpful. However, the cleanliness of the air conditioning unit was concerning, and I encountered some issues with taxi bookings through the hotel. Overall, it offers great value for money but has room for improvement in certain areas.
I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Even though I informed them about my schedule change in advance, they ended up canceling my reservation and forcing me to pay for one of the most expensive rooms available. To top it off, there was no breakfast included during my stay. I’ve never felt so frustrated and ignored, especially with my refund request falling on deaf ears.
The hotel offers a great location just 500 meters from the Metro station, making it easy to explore Shanghai. The rooms are clean but have a few issues, such as outdated air conditioning and lingering smoke smells. The breakfast is decent, though not remarkable, and the service can be hit or miss, particularly with transportation arrangements. Overall, it provides good value for the price, but it might require some patience with the staff.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, especially for its affordability and the fantastic breakfast buffet included in my package. The service was overall great, and the comfortable and spacious room added to the pleasant experience. I did notice that communication with some staff members was a little challenging due to limited English skills. While the location was decent, being just a short ride to the Bund, there were some moments I felt the lobby could benefit from being livelier.
